Taliga storms out over government’s un-complying attitude

November 30, 2011 by Birgit Pillarsoo in Pol€ko with 0 Comments

Harri Taliga, Chairman of the supervisory board of the Unemployment Insurance Fund stated quite ferociously that if the government did not comply with and agree to the premium rate that they have decided then it should be prepared for severe consequences.

Harri Taliga stated that the government will be asked to fight out this battle over the premium rate issue in the courts. Taliga quite plainly stated that they were moving towards a situation which was legally unclear.

Such a situation he emphasized and accented was supposed to be solved and put to rights by the help of some legal measure. This would in this case be the use of courts.

He said he is a living witness to the unjust system that now prevails. He said that the government was not prioritizing its aim correctly. This premium issue deserves more attention from them.

Moreover, they should agree on what they were saying as this would benefit the general public.

The Fund wanted the premium demand to be about three percent at least.

Unfortunately the government is doing all that it can to coerce these people to lower the premium to below three percent.
